Software influences much of our modern world, despite being little more than "thought-stuff":
The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination. Few media of creation are so flexible, so easy to polish and rework, so readily capable of realizing grand conceptual structures.
By learning new ideas, methodologies and tools, a designer gains new instruments which can be used to sculpt grand castles in what is little more than an imaginary sandbox.
I am an experienced software developer at Strata Health Solutions, a company which specializes in leveraging web technologies to improve patient flow for the patients, their families and their caregivers.
